Cristiano Ronaldo marries long-time partner Georgina Rodriguez

Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has married his long-time partner Georgina Rodriguez, bringing a decade-long relationship to a new chapter in a private ceremony on Portugal’s Atlantic coast.

The couple exchanged vows on Tuesday in the seaside resort of Cascais, west of Lisbon, surrounded by their five children in what Ronaldo’s representatives described as an intimate family celebration.

Ronaldo marked the occasion by posting a photo of the couple’s wedding bands on Instagram with the caption, “C ❤️ G.”

The wedding comes exactly one year after Rodriguez, a model and influencer, announced their engagement. The pair first met in 2016 when Rodriguez was working at a Gucci store in Madrid, and have since become one of the world’s most recognizable celebrity couples.

Now 41, Ronaldo currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr after a career that included spells with Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, as well as five Ballon d’Or awards. Rodriguez has built her own global following through her Netflix series I Am Georgina, which chronicles the family’s life.

Together, the couple command hundreds of millions of social media followers and have expanded their brand beyond football through investments in fashion, hospitality and other business ventures.
